Don Armstrong has been in broadcasting since 1971 and involved in the automotive world high school when he began working at a local Chevrolet dealership. While anchoring the morning news on the local NBC TV affiliate, Don was asked to report on new cars in a segment called “What’s Don Driving?” The quarterly feature drew rave reviews and solidified Don’s rapport with the auto industry and Houston area viewers alike. Don has been the Marketing and PR Manager for a Top Fuel Team on the NHRA Drag Racing tour and continues to write for Houston area lifestyle magazines. He is a member of the Texas Auto Writer’s Association and contributes daily to the ABC 13 Eyewitness Newscasts as videographer and reporter from the SkyEye 13 helicopter. Don still wrenches in his own garage, visits every car show and cruise-in he can, and attends local and national motorsports events on a regular basis. Don is a 2015 inductee in to the Texas Radio Hall of Fame.
